A few years ago I would've never thought I'd be pursuing photography as my life-long passion. Originally a commerce and then a science student, I only delved into the arts in my spare time with bouts of graphic design while designing websites or my occassional fascination with those tiny compact cameras and the sunset from my window. As the years rolled on I understood myself a bit more and realized I wouldn't be happy if I wasn't working creatively for the rest of my life. And so the adventure began and I've come a long way since then. I currently study at the School of Visual Arts in New York and within a few years I'll be a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. I fly back each summer to my hometown of Bombay, India (where it all began) and plan to return after the completion of my degree. Photography gives me a little bit of purpose to my stay here. I feel that photographers see the world a bit differently, and absorb it a bit deeper than others, which only makes my journeys far more worthwhile, and a lifetime of visuals far more engaging. This website is a select of my many adventures and explorations throughout the years, while my latest work is floating about at my photoblog.
